Léna Barral and Sophie Smet - Social assistants - welcome you!

Within Haute École en Hainaut, two social assistants are attentive to students' concerns and help them to overcome and resolve some difficulties that may hinder the smooth progress of their studies, the final goal being of course their academic success.

The Social Service offers to students:

• an individual financial support based on some criteria and after a case assessment;
• a financial support for work placements abroad;
• a careful listening thanks to individual meetings if a problem arises (family or personal problems,...);
• a guidance towards relevant services in order to make some steps easier (STOR, SAR, CPAS, FOREM, SIEP, family planning clinic, guidance center,...);
• advice to find accommodation;
• etc.

Léna Barral works within the departments of Mons and is available during the following office hours:

At the Department of Sciences and Technologies:
On Tuesday from 1 pm to 3.30 pm
On Wednesday from 8 am to 12.30 pm
On Friday from 8 am to 12.30 pm

Sophie Smet works within the departments of Tournai and is available during the following office hours:

At the Department of Learning Sciences and Teaching and the Department of Social Sciences:

On Monday from 9 am to 3 pm

On Tuesday and Thursday from 2 pm to 4 pm

On Wednesday from 9 am to 12 am

On Thursday from 2 pm to 4 pm

On Friday from 9 am to 12 pm

At the Department of Legal, Economic and Management Sciences:

On Tuesday and Thursday from 9 am to 1 pm.
