When can we enrol?

No enrolment may be introduced before 1 June preceding the academic year to which the student wish to enrol.

I am a student who meet the funding conditions:

Without prejudice to the rights of appeal against a decision on inadmissibility of the admission file or enrolment refusal, the deadline for enrolment is 31 October of the current academic year, except:

• students who have been allowed by the department director to extend their assessment period to the following semester, for reasons of force majeure duly reasoned, and may enrol until 30 November of the current academic year;
• students exceptionally allowed by the Government to enrol late, when justified by the circumstances invoked. In exceptional cases and on the basis of a file, a request for late enrolment may be submitted to the Government by the Management Board, with the assent of the Admission and Programmes Validation Commission (abbreviated CAVP in French) of the courses concerned;
• undergraduate students in first-year who may modify their enrolment until 15 February, without additional enrolment fees.

I am a student who does not meet the funding conditions:

A student who does not meet the funding conditions according to the decree of 11 April 2014 must ask for an exemption to the Admission and Programmes Validation Commission in order to enrol. This decision is based on the analysis of the candidate's motivation, their academic background as well as the possibilities of pedagogical supervision, material or infrastructure of the department in which the student wishes to enrol.

The written and duly motivated request must be submitted by registered post or hand-delivered with acknowledgment of receipt to the Director of the department in question.

The submission of an enrolment request and/or a file by email will not be taken into account and does not at all constitute a request of enrolment or admission within the meaning of this regulation.

Students living in Belgium:

Not earlier than:

1st June before the academic year to which the student wishes to enrol;

No later than:

15 October of the academic year for which an enrolment is requested for all other situations, as evidenced by the postmark.

Students not living in Belgium:

The requests for admission/registration must only be made by recorded letter within the time and rules assigned by the regulation of studies (follow the link, p.28).
